Sprouts Graphic Design and Digital Art

Never used Google Drawing? This course explores Google Drawing tools and introduces students to the basics of graphic design. This course would be appropriate for ages 5 – 8 who have limited experience with Google Drawing. Students will learn about layering and use the various line and shape tools to recreate images. They will also create original drawings, memes, and logos. This course encourages students to explore digital art and the possibilities that Google Drawing has to offer to create their own designs!

Intermediate Graphic Design and Digital Art

This course reviews Google Drawing tools and introduces students to graphic design via Pixlr (a photo editing program) . This course would be appropriate for ages 10-14 who have some experience with graphic design and digital art. Students will learn about layering in Google Drawings and numerous editing techniques in Pixlr where they will be saving their designs as .png or .jpeg files to be added to a digital portfolio they will create in Google Slides throughout the course.

Sprouts Web Design

This course will teach students the basics of Web Design using Google Sites. The course is recommended for students ages 7 – 9 who have some experience with browsing the internet. The course guides the students through designing their own website, while emphasizing the important structures and hierarchies that are used in website development. Each lesson builds on the previous one so that at the end of the course the students have built a website of their own!

Intermediate Web Design

This course will teach students the basics of Web Design using Weebly.  This course is recommended for students ages 9-14 who have some experience with browsing the internet.
